The Army Ground Forces Association is a non-profit educational and historical association dedicated to the study, interpretation, and preservation of the memory, experiences, tactics, doctrine, and equipment of the United States Army ground soldier of the Second World War (1939 - 1945). Our mission of promoting and facilitating interest and pride in America's World War II veterans is accomplished through the use of living history. This concept affords the public a unique opportunity to experience in a tangible way the history of the U.S. Army during the Second World War.
Members of the association portray various branches (and their inherent units) as assigned to the United States Army from 1939 to 1945. These branches currently include, but are not limited to, the Infantry, Cavalry, Coast Artillery Corps, Medical Corps, and Signal Corps. Other branches and units will be portrayed as each event warrants. Impressions provided by members of the association cover basic and well-known topics such as the life of the average G.I., the War in Europe, and the War in the Pacific. The association also addresses seldom-interpreted topics such as the early war period (1940 – 1942), coastal and border defenses, and Army units mobilized and stationed throughout the United States.
